Introduction

Love waking up and spending time with the Father. He is so good to be near us when we call upon Him. He answers. It's so important not to only read, but to find Him in our time alone. Is he there with us? He is calling our name each morning, where are you? He loves us and desires for us to reach out to Him also.

"My beloved speaks and says to me:
“Arise, my love, my beautiful one,
    and come away,
for behold, the winter is past;
    the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth,
    the time of singing[a] has come,
and the voice of the turtledove
    is heard in our land."
Song of Songs 2:10-12

Will we come away with Him? He is calling us His love. The winter has passed. The long season has gone, and flowers are now appearing. This verse speaks so much to me, the winters are challenging seasons for me yet as the seasons do not last forever and flowers begin to appear, I find the Father nearer to me in a way I had not found Him before. He is doing a new thing. He is seeking for me to keep on going down, surrendering more so I am totally empty and spent of all my own resources. Thus I find Him to be all sufficient - He is waiting for me to reach out to Him.

"Behold, I am doing a new thing;
    now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
    and rivers in the desert.
The wild beasts will honour me,
    the jackals and the ostriches,
for I give water in the wilderness,
    rivers in the desert,
to give drink to my chosen people,
    the people whom I formed for myself
that they might declare my praise."
Isaiah 43:19-21

He is doing a new thing. He is making rivers in the desert, a way in the wilderness - and notice this, that they might declare His praise. He wants us to declare His praise! To glorify Him, our Beloved. His Living Waters will flow from deep within and even in the desert places, when we don't understand, He wants us to come to Him to find His life.

Waking early to spend time with Him is always a blessing! I love Bible Journaling when I wake up, those verses which speak into my heart. Take some time with Him and write down what He speaks into your heart. He is faithful, if you need to dig, dig. He wants sometimes to see how serious we are about hearing from Him. Does He seem quiet? Find out what He last said to you, check your heart and see what He is asking from you. Try to find out what is pleasing to Him. {Eph. 5:10}

The enemy will try to deceive, coming as an angel of light. Submit to the Father, seek to not let your guard down. He will come in such subtle ways, but we must seek the Father in desperation. He will not leave us helpless, He will come to us. When the widow was persisting to the unjust judge, requesting he help her against the enemy coming against her, he finally gave in. Will not the Father answer us more speedily? He will! IF we have faith. When He returns, will He find us faithful? Let us seek to be faithful in the little things.

Write out these little things He is asking from you today. What is it that He is seeking to teach you, or encourage you in? As the year turns into another and you look back, no matter what stage, it is always a blessing to see what He shows us and how He has already lead us. It gives us both faith and encouragement for the future. There is hope, in Him alone to change us and to complete that which He has started.

"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."
-Philippians 1:6
